Father's Day Cards

Father’s Day is right around the corner and we’ve got a great idea for truly celebrating Dad and all that he means to you! Honor the special Dads in your life by donating to the Tuan Yuan Adoption Assistance Grant Program of LWB. Because one of our fundamental beliefs is that every child deserves a loving family, LWB established the Tuan Yuan Adoption Assistance Grant Program in 2004. Although it’s one of the lesser known programs at LWB, it is a great program that has so far brought 12 children into loving Forever Families of their very own! Additionally, we have two grant recipients who are currently waiting for their adoptive families to travel to bring them home.

The Tuan Yuan Adoption Assistance Grant Program works by providing an adoption assistance grant to a child who needs a little extra help finding his or her Forever Family. Each time our fund reaches $3,000, we review the Waiting Child program and identify a child who is at risk for his or her file to be returned without being chosen for adoption. We offer the Tuan Yuan grant in the hopes of giving a child an extra chance of being chosen by a family. Happy Children's Day!!

June 1st is National Children's Day in China and is celebrated with

cards, presents, special foods, parades, and other activities.

Although schools remain open, children

do not attend class and are free of homework for the day!!

LWB wishes all the children in China a very happy Children's Day!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the innocence and beauty that children bring to our world.

Remember that tickly feeling in your stomach when you knew that your teacher at school or Sunday school or coach on the ball field was absolutely delighted with something that you did or said? Wasn’t it just the best?

So many of us have at least one memory of an adult from our childhood that made us into the people we are today. We love reliving them when we see our children grow and blossom under the leadership of wonderful teachers in their lives. We can see that LWB teachers in China are making this kind of difference for students in our Believe In Me Schools and Mama’s Wish students. It’s obvious that teachers are vital to creating a world that we all want to live in.

This year, Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated in the United States the first full week in May, highlighed by Teacher Appreciation Day on Tuesday, May 6th.
